Train Meets

Train MeetThe Virginia Train Collectors host four toy train shows each year. These are one day events and open to the general public. Our winter train show in January is held at the Nansemond Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, Virginia. Our spring train show in mid-March is held in Chesterfield County at the Bishop Ireton Center on Courthouse Road. We then move to Charlottesville for our summer train show during the first Saturday in August at the Charlottesville Elk’s Lodge just off Stony Point Road. Our final show for the year is our Christmas train show in November near Ashland at the Hanover Academy.

Shows run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and average between 50-70 tables. Lunch is usually available at the show. At each show we have several operating layouts for young children and raffle prizes. Adult admission is $5.00 per adult and children 12 and under are admitted free.

For those wishing to have a table at one of our shows, please contact our meet chairman, Russell Youens at (804) 368-7898 or email jryouens@verizon.net.
